Hubspot Monthly Roundup - July 2025

The July HubSpot Roundup is here!

As we move into August, we’ve had a huge month of HubSpot updates and announcements to reflect on from July. Read all about them here in our July instalment of the HubSpot monthly roundup by On the Spot.

HubSpot x Claude:

Perhaps the most talked about CRM update of the month… HubSpot x Claude!

Naming themselves, ‘*The* AI forward customer platform’, this new deep research connector is another step in the AI-driven direction HubSpot wants to head. This is available for paid users of Claude Pro+, but can be accessed on all tiers of HubSpot. Once you feed Claude prompts, it provides features such as:

  • Summarising your pipeline.

  • Deals you may have missed.

  • Segmenting contacts through their activity in campaigns.

  • Organising your support tickets by priority.

  • Charts and visualisations are instantly created from your data.

  • Summaries of your data, along with suggestions and next steps you can act on instantly in HubSpot.

And so much more. With monthly product updates, we have a strong feeling that this is just the beginning of Claude’s capability in HubSpot.

What is the community saying?

The HubSpot and Claude integration has been met with a fairly positive response. With the community taking to LinkedIn to express their support for the feature, and many eagerly testing its features. There has also been a lot of discourse surrounding its importance for the RevOps space, where AI connectors like Claude have the power to unify Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance. Deep research connectors push the theories behind Revenue Operations, allowing you to work off of clean data, getting rid of silos between departments, and improving your processes significantly.

Concerns:

One of the concerns being vocalised about the partnership is the potential harm to GDPR and the increased risk of data breaches. This is an understandable risk for companies that work with sensitive data, such as those in the public sector. However, it has been reinforced that any data in HubSpot will not be used to train Claude in any way.

It has also been queried who the Claude connector actually appeals to; for instance, is it just useful in bigger companies and HubSpot agencies, or can HubSpot’s target audience of the SME benefit equally from the integration? However, with its ease to set up, it's clear that anyone can use the integration and tailor it to their advantage. Working on prompts and feeding Claude the right questions will help users make the most out of Claude.

Overall, this is pretty big news once again for the community, and I am sure this won’t be the last AI announcement we’ll be seeing across 2025.

ChatGPT Updates:

As well as the Claude connector, there have also been updates to ChatGPT and its features in HubSpot. This has now expanded to become more than just a deep research connector, with added quick question capabilities. It can now identify errors and outdated data in your system, which minimises the space for error significantly. It means that you basically have a built-in partner to clean and maintain the data you’re working with as you go, saving time and resources across your team.

Automated Zoom and Google Meet recording:

You can now auto-record your Zoom and Google Meets via HubSpot. This not only saves the need for an external recording app for your meetings, but also means everything is stored in one place. You can work off your meetings through HubSpot and have them available in one place to access in the future. HubSpot’s focus on external app updates and integrations speaks volumes about their need to keep everything in their one CRM, reducing the need for you to go elsewhere!

*Remember, your recordings won't automatically sync to HubSpot unless you turn on this feature.

Some July HubSpot Product Updates:

Mobile Inbound Calling:

Out of the many product and hub updates throughout July, one that stood out to us was mobile Inbound calling. HubSpot users are now able to answer calls to their HubSpot numbers via their HubSpot mobile app. This is an update across Sales Hub and Service Hub, and helps ensure that you never miss an important call or opportunity away from your desk.

A proper Sandbox!

Another feature that's stood out is the new sandbox environment! Sandbox testing should be a crucial stage before any developments or updates to your HubSpot CRM. It is an environment that mirrors your CRM and allows for safe testing and building without affecting your actual data. Therefore, a Sandbox that is fully capable and functioning is key. HubSpot has improved its production metadata and capabilities for deployment into production. You can now copy aspects like your pipeline and object properties! For HubSpot Administrators, CRM Managers, or anyone working on the backend of the system, this is going to be a game-changer.

*For now, any current Sandboxes will be labelled ‘Legacy’ and won't support deployment.

Conclusion:

Overall, we’ve once again been spoiled for product updates and announcements over the July period!

It is clear that HubSpot is moving in a very AI-forward direction, but also doubling down on their internal features. Their focus on product updates and integrations means they’re continuously improving their CRM, and cleverly, reducing the need for users to leave HubSpot and work with data elsewhere. Keeping everything conveniently in one, organised place.
