HubSpot and Claude AI
I'm sure everyone is aware of HubSpot being the first CRM connector to integrate with Claude AI. This new software enables users to connect their HubSpot data context with Claude to produce custom visuals, insights, and actions. It's designed to make AI more accessible and better suited to GTM teams, achieved through incorporating real-world business context into Claude’s replies! In this blog, we wanted to give you an insight into what Claude is bringing to the table, and how the HubSpot community has taken it on!
Who is Claude AI?
Claude AI is known as a “sophisticated AI chatbot” and is part of a large group of language models created by Anthropic. (Who is Anthropic? They are a Public Benefit Corporation that is responsible for the maintenance and development of expert AI for the advancement of humanity.) The design of Claude has been created to be ‘helpful, honest, and harmless’. It can process natural language, summarise, and form information with a strong ethical foundation. Claude is well known for its engagement in authentic conversations and ability to form creative content while showing reliability.
What does this mean for the HubSpot community?
Since hearing the latest news, HubSpotters can't wait to use the new software. These major advancements have the capacity to create huge success, meaning teams can meet their goals sooner and focus on the important things.
Teams can now do more than ever using Claude, here's some great examples!
Sales teams can now ask for a summary of their deals. Organising by the names, stage amounts to help strategically plan their weeks, therefore being more efficient.
Customer success teams can now ask Claude to create a comparison of issues that are resolved across multiple support channels. This is to ensure that there is consistency with the same level of standards for all customer bases.
The software is now able to tailor itself to your specific team, giving you individualised answers, visuals, and summaries that link back to your brand using HubSpot context. This can give you that extra help, allowing you to visualise what your business's next steps could look like.
Finding contacts that have opened recent email campaigns, but didn't click through, is another addition to Claude's strengths. Marketing teams are able to produce pie charts to enable follow-up segmentation.
What's social media’s opinion?
“Game changer”
Since releasing the new software, HubSpot and Claude have had a lot of praise. The HubSpot community is clearly impressed and has been longing for an advancement in its ecosystem. LinkedIn users are calling it a “game changer for the community” and saying how “it truly enhances user experience by blending powerful AI with accessible data”. HubSpot users can now enjoy a more streamlined workflow and concentrate on their high-priority concerns.
“AI isn't coming for anyone's jobs. It is already here.”
However, despite a mostly positive response, some users have shown hesitation towards the launch. With deep roots in the marketing community, HubSpot prides itself on being a marketing compatible CRM. With Claude's use of ‘natural language’ and its ability to design visuals, this is a game-changer for teams. However, it simultaneously creates a sense of fear for users surrounding their jobs. For business owners, AI is a great investment for cutting costs, as you essentially have a bot doing the “everyday jobs” for you, but with every new AI feature, fear can grow amongst teams.
HubSpot, however, is very vocal in their opinion that AI integrations such as Claude should be used and embraced, to elevate their marketing abilities, not threaten its users.
Authentic human creativity is at the moment, significantly more visually compelling, which means more complex and in-depth work is, and likely will remain, best executed by a human. It's important for society to understand that these new advancements are not something to fear but to assist us in our progress. Any software needs human resources to keep it running and expanding. It has to be seen as a positive, not just for the Hubspot community but for the rest of society.
