The HubSpot Monthly Roundup - January

3 mins

Happy New Year from Steadman Hub!

Welcome to the very first edition of the HubSpot Monthly Roundup in 2026. We're covering all that's happened across January in the HubSpot world.

Silicon Valley Girl and Yamini Rangan

As the latest guest on the Silicon Valley Girl podcast, Rangan shared her story to CEO of HubSpot. Many may not know that Yamini hadn't always had HubSpot on her path. Growing up in a small town in India with massive dreams of success, Rangan came to the USA originally for her Master's degree. She then found herself pursuing a career in Sales, which slowly built cross-functionally at companies like Workday and Dropbox, to finally, HubSpot in 2020.

During the episode, she delved into inspiring topics such as her mindset as an Indian woman in a very male-dominated field, and how she ensured success by playing to her personal strengths, actively not trying to fit into the crowd.

Interestingly, even as HubSpot's CEO, Yamini still feels imposter syndrome. What really helps with these impending feelings, however, is the mindset shift from 'Can I actually do this?' to actually working backwards from where you want to be. Yamini's strategy is to ask herself where she'll be in 3 years, and reverse the necessary steps to achieve them. This reverse shift in your thought process will then create the plan you need.

'The future will create the kind of patterns you want right now.'

Get Ready for the Full-Year 2025 Financial Results

Next month, HubSpot are due to release their Q4 and full-year financial results. We're staying tuned for February 11th, when we'll be able to learn more about their roadmap through the stats, and understand how they're really doing in a competitive market.

Feature spotlight: Email Ignore List for Customer Agent

One of the most interesting feature updates we've seen from January has been the email ignore list. You can now input specific email addresses or domains that the agent will not engage with, which is a key method to ensure your different audiences are strategically catered to. This is also a really crucial feature, where you may be wasting unnecessary credits and money on Customer Agent engagements with queries meant for humans.

Feature spotlight: More Zapier connections

HubSpot has also released more ways to integrate Zapier with HubSpot. This includes objects like tax, subscription, fee, etc., and means you can keep even more automations inside the CRM.

The HubSpot Salary Survey is Here!

Lastly, January included the release of the UK's only HubSpot Salary Survey. At Steadman Hub, we created the HubSpot Salary survey to act as a benchmark across the UK ecosystem for salaries, benefits, common working patterns and more. This year, we've done a particular dive into the differences between experiences at HubSpot Partners vs. those with In-House HubSpot roles. As HubSpot expands, so do both markets, which is why tracking statistics like these year-on-year is vital.

Including:

  • Those working at a HubSpot Partner are more likely to receive a bonus than those in-house.
  • Less than 1/10 bonuses received in-house are purely performance-based.
  • You are 32% more likely to have private healthcare as a company benefit when working in-house.

We also compared insights surrounding gender, role-based average salaries, and typical experiences for the average HubSpot Contractor in 2025. You can download the HubSpot Salary Survey on our website: The HubSpot Salary Survey 2025 | Steadman Hub

*please note if on mobile, you must download the survey in your browser, as opposed to directly from LinkedIn!

Conclusion

That's all for January, but we cannot wait to see what happens for HubSpot throughout the year. If it's anything like 2025, we wouldn't be surprised if there was already a strategic partnership in the works, or ground-breaking AI announcement or two...
