It's HubSpot Monthly Roundup time! We’re bringing you all the news over July, from product updates and integrations to ecosystem buzz and exclusive market insights.
HubSpot got it wrong.
This July, HubSpot faced a big round of backlash. After a hidden small print automatically enrolled customers into their data policy, they were left feeling exposed and let down by HubSpot.
The option to opt out of the automatic enrolment was concealed, and failure to see it meant customers ‘consenting’ to their private information being publicly shared. Info like business contact details and sensitive personal data was set to be handed over.
After the inevitable backlash, HubSpot has since retracted the policy and released multiple apologies. They have pushed the message ‘You control your data. This has always been our policy and will not change.’ and worked hard to address all questions and worries surrounding the issue. Whilst some of the community has appreciated this fast turn around and seemingly sincere series of apologies, other customers have been left with a sour taste in their mouth.
HubSpot integrates with snapchat!
We’re already spoiled for choice with various HubSpot integrations, and in July, their integration with popular social media, Snapchat, went live.
The snapchat integration was intended to open up customers to a perhaps unlikely lead generation channel. HubSpot and Snapchat automatically connect to track and roll out campaigns, so you can see how your adverts are performing and get the most out of the integration.
Perhaps unbeknownst to many, snapchat has actually offered adverts for years, however, with increased competition from apps like tiktok and instagram, its users have also substantially declined.
Will this be an underrated, new form for lead generation, or are we flogging a dead horse?
Top product updates
Our top product updates this month are focused on our sales and administrative HubSpotter teams.
Firstly, HubSpot has expanded their power dialer tool. This allows sales reps tasked with high volume calling to properly target their prospects. Users can dial through contact lists automatically, swiftly moving onto the next and logging all interactions as necessary, all whilst never leaving the CRM.
For HubSpot Admins, HubSpot has released a new health check feature. Flagging where admin intervention might be necessary, for example to delete a duplicate label or check out a low fill rate property before it becomes a problem. This allows customers to stay on top of their data, reducing errors and ensuring they’re always using their CRM in its most efficient form.
What is it really like to work for a HubSpot Partner in 2026?
The Talent and Careers in HubSpot User Group also had its very first event this July. Lead HubSpot Consultant Alex Burton took to the group to share his knowledge on the reality of working in the HubSpot Partner community.
The user group proved a great success, and allowed HubSpotters to open themselves up to the Partner world. It was also an opportunity for Partner managers to see the transferable skills and pathways for bringing talent onto their teams.
For our first-ever event, we had a great turnout. A big thank you to everyone who joined, and we’ll see you at the next one.
July was a big one! We’re already looking forward to August.
